First international roster
Posted by MARCUS SCHÖN
9INE have always fielded national cores with Turks, Swedes and most recently the Poles who were the first Polish roster to reach a major in 5 years having qualified for the Legend stage of the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023.
It is now time for 9INE to take the next step as an organization by, for the first time, fielding an international core. Today, we’re proud to announce our new roster consisting of raalz, mantuu, misutaaa, refrezh and s0und. We’re very excited to follow the development of this new roster led by coach Mikołaj ‘miNirox’ Michałków.
Rasmus ‘raalz’ Steensborg
Rasmus is a veteran in the scene having played professional CS since 2013 in teams like 3DMAX, Copenhagen Flames and Sprout. He joins us as a free agent and will lead the team in the role of IGL.
Mateusz ‘mantuu’ Wilczewski
Matti has been a top tier player for many years, having played most recently in BIG after a long stint at OG. He joins us on a transfer from BIG and will play the role of AWP.
Kévin ‘misutaaa’ Rabier
Despite his young age, Kévin has already played top tier CS for more than 4 years in teams like Vitality, Falcons and Into the Breach. Kévin joins us on a transfer from ITB and will play the role of Rifler.
Ismail ‘refrezh’ Ali
Ali is one of the superstars of the Danish CS-scene having played in both national and international rosters like Heroic, Sprout and most recently Preasy. Ali joins us as a free agent and will play the role of Rifler, helping with mid-round calling.
Alexandru 's0und' Ștefan
Alex is a up-and-coming star who’s played primarily in the Romanian CS-scene since 2020, posting impressive results in his most recent team Nexus. Alex joins us on a transfer from Nexus and will play the role of Rifler.
“After the departure of our Polish core, we decided to adapt to today's meta by building an international roster, ensuring we don't limit our talent pool to a single nation. Following extensive discussions and a rigorous trial process, we are proud to present a lineup with immense potential, made possible by our competent coaching staff and team management.”
- Adam Videll, Chief Gaming Officer
A special thanks to BIG, ITB and Nexus for great cooperation and smooth transfers of the players.
